Overcoming Inferiority Complex !!!

(1) If you have an inferiority complex find out why. Use this a-b-c approach by asking yourself these questions.
(a) What are some of the whys and wherefores of my feelings of neurotic inferiority? How did my inferiority complex come about? Am I trying to attain an unattainable goal? (b) Have I been resorting to negative forms of over-compensation? (c) What disciplinary steps can I take to eliminate the handicap of feeling inferior?

10 Questions answered by Khushwant Singh

Scotch is mandatory, even if it's a ceremony to confer Punjab's highest honour, Punjab Rattan, on its grand old son

An Interview with Khushwant Singh !!

Please do not ring the bell unless you are expected, says the sign outside the door of his New Delhi home. Luckily, we have an appointment, and after dawdling for ten minutes so that we are not too early, one of us rings the bell. A suspicious manservant soon appears, and after being assured that we are expected, takes our visiting cards and goes back inside. He’s a trifle friendlier when he returns and ushers us into the presence of Sardar Khushwant Singh.

Mystical Space

There are many ways of looking at the world around us. We all have different perspectives, according to our individual needs, habits, education, culture, social background, temperament, talents, and so on. Essentially, however, as human beings, we are all put together in the same way. At the bodily level, we share the same senses, and so presumably we all perceive things in a similar manner. What gives us a different take on things is our individual minds. Such is human life, and it need not be a problem. Difficulties only arise when we take our perspective to be real, and the perspective of others to be somewhat less than real. But is any of it real anyway, even our one perspective? Does the world itself have any reality?

Clichés in Movies

There’s an abundance of clichés in movies—not only the lines spoken but also the repetitive themes and scenarios. That’s why we some times say, “that movie was so boring that I could tell the end after the first 15 minutes.
That’s good news for you, actually. Next time when you’re on a date and go watch a movie, you’ll have plenty materials to joke about.

Get out of the COMPARISON TRAP !!!

“Do they eat any better than you???” “Do they get any better facilities than you???” Tola Ram, father of Manoj shouted on his son so unexpectedly. While Manoj was wondering to know whether any of his previous year's academic report card has been found by his father or what other matter is it which is helping his father in his routine work of scolding and comparing him with others, he got to know that that day his neighbour's son, and a relative who lives at large from them has secured marginally more percentage than what was secured by him in his senior secondary exams. Manoj never thought that this topic will again bring him sadness when after three years have passed and he had no more relations with the senior secondary board. But to his dismay, every other mark that he couldn't secure was hitting him in his heart and he was being compared by his inch tape parents with others.

“Even the toilets of their houses are of classic Indian style” :P The father resorted to say. “Wahi acche nikle phir toh...” (they have become good) his father continued to compare while manoj was listening and cursing himself in his heart that why couldn't he score that much

The Grief of a Panipuri Wala !!!

Babu , a street vendor selling panipuri (golgappa or gupchup), commonly known as Babu Gol Gappe wala by his permanent customers, even used as a landmark by some to recognize the place), has claimed of incurring losses in excess of Rupees one lakh  per year due to his women customers insisting on extra paani (flavored and salted water) and free puri (hollow and fried bread) without paying extra for those delicacies.
“They give commercially irrational excuses like ‘Bhaiya, ek aur de do na, bachchi maang rahi hai’ or simply insist on getting extra puris (Papdi) for free just because they have bought and consumed a few earlier,”

Life is Weird

Its wierd...when you have the answers,
But no questions are asked!
You wait patiently, hoping they will be thrown at you,
But time has passed and your answers have left
even bigger questions in your head...

Its wierd...when you are crying your heart out,
And when asked why- you dont kno!
Yes, something went wrong,
But you cant get what it was
But then, you know that this is all you want to do...
Just cry...

Its wierd...when you are so angry,
That smiling is the last thing you can do!
Yet, thats exactly what is expected of you...
And you are smiling; youn want to lash out at everyone around you!
But you just smile and tap them on their back...

Its wierd...when you are desperate to forget something,
But people around you keep talking about it!
You walk out of the room,
You close your eyes...and its there,
In your thoughts again!
You want to scream, but how can you?
People dont know what is eating you from within!
Do they care?

Its wierd...when you ask someone what life is,
And all you get is silence!
We might be living this life everyday...
But no one seems to know all about it!
Isnt that wierd?
Yes, Life is Wierd!!

One Flaw In Women

We all are surrounded by them. (Ohhh chuck.. Please don't complain that you aren't) Yes, you are surrounded by them in one or the other form. So, while having an eye on them (I meant the observation part here) I have EUREKOUSLY (originated from the original word Eureka Eureka ;)) found a flaw in women.
As I have grown to understand myself and my own psychological tendencies more I have also noticed some psychological tendencies, pathologies and recently a flaw in women about which I am gonna try to write here.

Learn to Say NO !!!

Imagine a person continuously saying haanji haanji haanji haaanji (yea yea yea yea)..!!! w/o even taking a notice, listening or thinking about the words being said by his confronter. He is a man, yea only a man could do that 'cause I have seen no woman doing that till now in my life... and we are going to consider him as a real nice, jolly man having no hard feelings in his heart for anyone. He makes other people laugh with his gained wits during his upbringing and tries to be as pleasing as he could be with everyone he meets. You just have to ask for a favor or request and an affirmative answer of haaanji haaanji haaaaanji zarur ji zarur would be buzzing in your head the same moment again with no thinking of what has been asked or what not has not been asked for. No doubt, some might consider him even more good than I described but certainly he has a problem of not able to say no to even favors he doesn’t want to favor.

And even harder it is to know WHO??? :P (yea, I Know you can now get to know who it is but remember, people used to delete you when these tricks weren’t yet discovered)
I guess those readers who yet don’t know about the above mentioned trick are rather more interested in knowing the same before proceeding further with this article. But, I will be more concerned towards my topic of writing. You can Google it yourself.

Witnessed another Break-up !!! (Narrating MY WAY)

They met, talked incidentally and fell in love (Please, no guesses about whether the love was true or not yet ;)). And then they started dating. They were truly, madly, deeply in love with each other. They  witnessed many things together. Promises, plannings, values, dreams and all other feelings that a couple shares were being shared by them.  Heyyy… did I mention late night texting, love-sharing, kuchuu vuchuu, shona, babu, baby things etc etc that were also the part of the game. Yea, I just did that. That’s how they considered their relationship like – Sweet and Pure. They talked everyday, met almost on regular intervals and movies were a common among them. And yeaaaa…..!!! People also were jealous of them (pointing towards SINGLES, Oh no – not me :P) [That was just written to bring your kind attention to the relationship status of the writer, perfectly single :D]
